MITCHELL,
James Curtis (Curt)
James Curtis Mitchell, 57, died Nov. 2, 2010 of cancer. He was born Jan. 30, 1953 in Riverside, CA.
He deserved more than a one-sentence obituary so I will attempt to do my best here. He was my friend and former roommate. We had a falling out and I did not even know about his passing away until now, over two years later.
Curt was a fan of movies, Star Trek, Star Wars, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea especially. He had a lifetime love of the water, and even has his own pool cleaning/maintenance business: Nemo Pool & Spa Care in Scottsdale, AZ.
He was a good story teller, loved pools, a good pair of swim shorts, temperature-controlled storage units, and canned beer (unfortunately, he loved this too much).
He was a hard worker, and an expert in maintenance. He worked at the Country Inn & Suites, Golf Land/Sun Splash, and Castle Amusement Park.
I have no idea where his remains ended up, but if I get the chance to get to the ocean in the future I will try to conduct some type of memorial in his honor.
"From the water we came, to the water we return, from now until the end of time." James Curtis Mitchell, Esq.
Rest In Peace. Captain Nemo has left the building.
