AYERS, Billy Lee

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, March 08, 2013 Billy Lee Ayers, 85, of Tonopah died March 4, 2013. Mr. Ayers was born Oct. 24, 1927, in Samuel, Mo., to Benjamin and Maggie Ayers. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis; two sons, Perry and Richard; one daughter, Annette; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 7702 N. 35th Ave. in Phoenix. Funeral arrangements were made by Advantage Crystal Rose Funeral Home in Tolleson.
