West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, March 08, 2013 Kim Marie Schmidt, 56, of Goodyear died Feb. 11, 2013, at West Valley Hospital in Goodyear from pulmonary infarction. Mrs. Schmidt was born July 10, 1956, in Augsburg, Germany, to Audrey and Paul Kayzar. She moved to Arizona in 2008. She did new business residential design as a general service representative for ComEd in Chicago. She climbed to the top of Mount Baldy in 2010. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Schmidt; one daughter, Chrissy Anderson of Oswego, Ill.; one step-daughter, Kimberly Logan of Aurora, Ill.; two step-sons, Bob Schmidt of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Michael Schmidt of Oak Park, Ill.; one sister, Shelia Kayzar of Aurora, Ill.; and two grandchildren. A celebration of life ceremony will be at 12 p.m. April 6 at the Starpointe Residents Club, 17665 W. Elliot Road in Goodyear. The Rev. Jason Whalen will officiate. Funeral arrangements were made by Legacy Funeral Homes.
