Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Boyd Dahkoshay (January 20, 1933 - March 2, 2013) Boyd Dahkoshay Sr., 80, entered eternal rest March 4, 2013. Boyd was born January 20, 1933, in Whiteriver, Arizona, to parents the late Lucinda and Quentin Dahkoshay. He worked at the McNary sawmill. He liked to work and he would walk into Pinetop to clean people’s yards and even enjoyed going to church at the Pinetop Baptist Church. Boyd served for the U.S Marine Corp. and served in the Korean War. Boyd is survived by daughter Wynette (Rex) Pinal; son Boyd Dahkoshay Jr.; brothers Manley (Effie) Dahkoshay, Willis Dahkoshay, and Elmer Dahkoshay; sisters Eunice Pinal, Nellie Cody, Pheobe (Tom) Thomas, Nettie (Everette) Massey, Sis (Homer) Massey and Verna Dahkoshay. He is preceded in death by his wife Florence Dahkoshay; son Delano Dahkoshay; stepson Martine Tala Yumetwa; parents Lucinda and Quentin Dahkoshay; and brothers Larry and Lonnie Dahkoshay. A wake was held in his honor on Saturday March 9, 2013, at 10:00AM, at Dark Shadow house # 160 in Whiteriver, Arizona. A home service was held on Monday March 11, 2013 at 10:00AM, at Dark Shadow house #160. Interment took place after the home service at Alchesay Flats Chief Cemetery.
