FIELD, JR., Harold (Dusty)


The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona, Thursday, March 07, 2013 Harold “Dusty” Field Jr. of Lake Montezuma, AZ passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013. He was 89 years old. He was born on January 27, 1924 in Southbend, ID to Harold and Martha (Griffin) Field. Dusty served his country in the US Navy as a submariner during WWII. After the war, he attended Michigan State College before going to become a journeyman electrician. He worked for HP Foley Co for over 10 years before going on to retire from Howard Electric in 1984. He was a life member of the Free Masons, Lodge number 557, out of Lansing, MI. He loved golfing, traveling and his family. He was a member of the Alpenlite Travel Club. Dusty was preceded in death by his brother Doug Field. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Helen of Lake Montezuma; his son, Steven (Carol) Field of Phoenix; his daughter, Terry (Ron) Field-Guerin of Phoenix; his sister Linda Readel, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
