QUIMBY, Eugene (Gene)

Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Eugene Quimby (June 11, 1930 - March 8, 2013) Gene Quimby, 82, died peacefully in his sleep March 8, 2013. Gene was born in Columbia, Mississippi, to parents Lee and Willie Mae Quimby, June 11, 1930. He was married to Clara for 62 years. He had a love for horses, people, and roping, but he had a bigger love for his family. Gene is survived by his wife Clara; children Mike (Nonie) Quimby, Tricia (Bill) Gibson, and Bill (Melinda) Quimby; sisters Ruth Engel (of Phoenix, Arizona) and Ruby Smith (of Mississippi), grandchildren Shane Quimby, J.R. Quimby, W.D. Quimby, Dalton Quimby, John Quimby, Chad Bolton, Jason Bolton, Amorie Owens, Stefanie Byars, and Jennifer Barr; and great-grandchildren Andrew, Gabriel, Avery, and Treven. He was preceded in death by one son; Jay Quimby. A Memorial service for Gene will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 10:00- 11:00 A.M. at Silver Creek Mortuary, 745 Paper Mill Rd. Taylor, Arizona.
