Thomas (Tom or Tommy) Michael White

Tom left this Earth peacefully on Thursday, March 7, 2013 in the loving care of Hospice Family Car. He was born December 31, 1937 in Mansfield, Louisiana to John Arthur White and Helen DeYoung. Tom was 75 years old at the time of his passing.
Tom had a long life of adventure and accompishments. At 17 he enlisted in the United States Navy where he servied 5+ years before joining the Untied States Air Force where he retired from some 20+ years later as a pararescureman. He served his country proudly in Vietnam and was awareded many medal and honors.
After the end of his military career, Tom found himself living n Sacramento, California where he met his third wife Gertrude (Trudy); a woman whom he shared two children with and the remainder of her life. Tom worked for the United States Post Office for some 20+ years until he retired and moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona, where he and his wife built the home of their dreams in 2005.
Trudy passed away October 14, 2009, and although Tom’s passing is a great loss, he has finally reunited with her at long last.
Tom had a total of four children throughout the course of his life that he is survived by; sons Michael, John, and David White and one daughter, Nicole White. In addition, Tom is survived by his two sisters; Donna Gunter and Dorean Stovall, along with many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren from afar. Tom had one grandson, Xayden Michael White that was a joyous active part of his life as he was close to home. Tom was preceded in death by both his parents, his wife Gertrude White, and his brother Raymond (Ray) Adkerson.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, in his home for all the many friends and family Tom had, to gather and say goodbye. On behalf of all who love you, we bid you good journey Daddy, and we’re glad you’re finally home with Mommy.
