Kingman Daily Miner, Kngman, AZ - Published on March 17, 2013 - John Stuart Powers, 47, passed away in Kingman on Saturday, March 2, 2013. Johnny was born in Weisbaden, Germany, to his Air Force father, Alton Powers, and mother, Jessie Powers. He was two years old when his family returned to the United States. Johnny had lived in Arizona for most of his life, in Phoenix, Prescott Valley, and the last 10 years in White Hills, near Kingman. Johnny had a sweet nature and a gentle soul. In the last few years he had overcome a troubled life, and had many friends and people who loved him. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and his little dog, Chico. He is survived by his son, Josh Powers; grandson, Alton Forrest Powers; sisters, Dolores Dees (Fred), Patricia Madden (Joe), and Linda Wenzl (Dennis); his brothers, Michael Powers and Layne Holland (Phillicia); sister-in-law, Donna Worden; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Alton and Jessie Powers; sister, Andrea Passage; and brother, Ray Worden. A private memorial will be held in Prescott when the family is together.
