She passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday morning. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Romero and her siblings, Albert “Bucky” Hoisington, Audrey Hoisington Burnam, William “Shorty” Hoisington and Viola Hoisington. Frances was a water enthusiast and swam three days a week, every week, with her daughter, Nancy, all the way through age 91. She would still be swimming if her hips had let her! She loved her Aquatic Center friends very much and they continued to shower her with affection through cards, candy and visits to the Havasu Nursing Center where she tried to regain enough strength to swim again. She was “Frances” to all who called her friend and “Grandma” to everyone else. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Thompson; grandchildren, Robert Thompson, Cheryl Bielenberg, Laura Thomas, Janice Thomas and families. Frances had four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren! Services will be Saturday, March 23 at 2 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
