Blanche Nespor Brain
(August 7, 1926 - March 18, 2013)
Blanche Nespor Brain, 86, of Flagstaff has flown home to join her Lenny on Monday March 18, 2013 after multiple health complications.
Blanche will always be remembered for her love of family, quirky humor and as being welcoming to everyone she met.
Born in East Patterson, NJ on August 7, 1926 to Catholic Czech immigrants, she was able to fulfill their American Dream throughout her life. Blanche grew up during the days of prohibition, Al Capone & Babe Ruth, learning difficult lessons along the way as she lost both of her parents by the age of 14 but remained fully capable of finding love and humor in the little things throughout her life.
In 1958 she met her husband, Leonard (Lenny) Brain, and they raised three children together. In 1978 Flagstaff, AZ called them west where they remained until the end, known throughout their neighborhood for her shining personality and beautiful flower beds.
Blanche and Lenny adored each other and seven months to the date of Lennys unexpected death, Blanche finally followed him home, peacefully.
They are survived by their children: Keith (Gwen) Brain, Kim (Trevan) Woolbright and Kathy (Dan) Rogers; their grandchildren: Alicia Murphy, Michael Lyon, Morgan Woolbright, Brittany Rogers, Andre Rogers and Dusteen Brain as well as 7 great grandchildren.
