HOSTO, Erwin James (Jim)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 03/22/2013 Erwin James (Jim) Hosto, 87, of Lakeside died March 1, 2013. He was born Nov. 28, 1925, in Bellville, Ill. Erwin graduated from Millikin University in June of 1955. He was part of the San Rafael Parish in Concho, American Legion, Dank Club and retired from the Mullerco of Decatur after 35 years of service. He also served as World War II intelligence with the U.S. Army. In his down time, Erwin loved camping, fishing, painting, drawing and biking. He was preceded in death by his mother Elsie Hosto; father Theophil Hosto; grandson Alan Miller; wife Gertrud Hosto and son-in-law Don Miller. He is survived by his daughters: Jutta Miller of Florida, Sylvia (Carry) Krutsinger of Nicholasville, Kent., Karen (Alfred) Stock of Germany, Elsie Stowell (Kevin) of Concho and Ron (Kathy) Hosto of Decatur, Ill.
