Joyce Mae Nabors, born May 24, 1927 to Mansford and Clara Sams in Olean, New York, passed away March 19, 2013.
Joyce attended boarding school in DC. She moved to California in 1948 where she met and married Robert Nabors in 1951.
Joyce was a great gardener and a great cook. She could occasionally outshoot her husband on the pistol range. She will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew her.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert; her daughter, Sue McCarty; four grandchildren: Gerritt, Jodi, Jennifer and Joshua; and six great grandchildren.
Per the family’s request, there will not be a service for Joyce. Memorial donations may be made in Joyce’s name to the Disabled American Veterans, 730 N. 5th Street, Prescott, AZ 86301.
Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
