WISCHMEYER, Evelyn

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, March 22, 2013 Evelyn Wischmeyer, 89, of Cottonwood and formerly of Goodyear died March 19, 2013, at Cottonwood Village. Mrs. Wischmeyer was born Jan. 19, 1924, in Cincinnati. Her family moved to Arizona in 1955. She retired from Goodyear Aerospace after a long career. She belonged to Beta Sigma Phi sorority for 42 years and was a longtime member of the First Southern Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, William M. Wischmeyer; and one daughter, Dolores A. Howe. She is survived by two sons, William E. Wischmeyer of Rainbow Valley and John C. Wischmeyer of Camp Verde; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. March 25 at First Southern Baptist Church of Avondale, 1001 N. Central Ave. in Avondale.
