REILLY, Veronica Emma

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Friday, March 22, 2013 Veronica Emma Reilly (née Jordan) passed to the care of our Lord on March 21, 2013. Born Jan. 17, 1931, to Mary Emma Jordan, she was raised by the Goerls along with her adopted family of five other girls. She married Thomas (Tom) Reilly on Nov. 25, 1950. She is survived by her husband Tom; three sons, Tom Jr., Ken and Bill; and five granddaughters, Kelly, Megan, Kate, Evelyn and Mary. Mom was a member of the Sweet Adelines and we enjoyed her singing. She was mom, raising three boys, and rarely missed a beat. Whether it was showing us how to clean a fish, ride a bike, sew a button or emphatically remove the dead snake from the house, she was there for us. When the family moved to Arizona in 1974, she handled the bookkeeping for Tom's construction company until they both retired to Prescott, Ariz., in 2003. Roni, Mom or Nana will always be a loving and warm memory for all her family and wonderful, caring friends. A special thank you from the family goes out to the caring staff of Highgate and Hospice. A private family gathering will be followed by internment at the National Cemetery in Phoenix. Information provided by survivors.
