BECKER, Linda Alice

(Maiden Name: Stahlke)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Saturday, March 23, 2013 Linda Alice Becker, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 18, 2013. Linda was born in Ocheyedan, Iowa, in 1938 to Carl and Sylvia Stahlke, and was raised on a farm in Okabena, Minn. She moved to Prescott in 1970, where she raised her family, volunteered at the local hospital and care homes, and loved and cared for many people in her community. Over the years, she was a church pianist and organist, a merchant teller at First Interstate Bank, and a familiar face to the residents of Good Samaritan Assisted Living where she visited regularly. Linda will be remembered by her family and friends as a kind and loving woman who spent her life helping others. She was a sweet and selfless spirit who never spoke an unkind word, loved her family, her friends, and most of all her Lord. She had an adventurous spirit that enjoyed seeing new places and learning new things. Linda is survived by her loving husband Bruce; children, Michael Byrum of Folsom, Calif., Susan (Brian) Falk of Prescott; as well as grandchildren, Jessamyn, Ehren and Nicola Falk; and great granddaughter Lillian. She also is survived by sister Shirley (Jim) Aanerud of Santa Barbara, Calif., and brother Russel (Joyce) Stahlke of Okabena, Minn.; as well as several loved nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Granite Mountain Home Care and Hospice, whose loving and excellent care they could not have managed without. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the Marley House Chapel, 1063 Ruth St., Prescott. Information provided by survivors.
