West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Tuesday, March 26, 2013 Alta L. Brandon, 84, of Tolleson died March 21, 2013, in Tolleson. Mrs. Brandon was born Feb. 23, 1929, in Phoenix to James and Berdie Rairdan. She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Wallace, Shirley Frame and Carol Tackett; one son, Donald; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Red"; one son, Johnny; and one grandson. ~~~~~~~~~ Brandon, Alta L. 84, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013. Alta was an Arizona Native, born in Phoenix on February 23, 1923, to James and Berdie Rairdan. She grew up with two sisters, June and Darlene. She lived in Arizona her entire life, spending many summers in Pinetop and the White Mountains, which she loved so very much. She loved working in her yard, spending time with nature. She also loved to go fishing and camping, play card games, do puzzles, and most of all, spend time with her family and friends. Alta was a friend to everyone she met. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Sharon Wallace (Tom), Shirley Frame, and Carol Tackett, and son Donald (Robyn); 15 Grandchildren, and many Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Sister June, Husband John "Red", her Son Johnny, Grandson Donny, and Son-in-Law Russell Frame. Services will be held at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday March 27, 2013 at 12:00 PM.
