HILL, Gladys Edwina

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 03/29/2013 Eagar resident Gladys Edwina Hill, 79, died March 21, 2013, in St. Johns. She was born June 18, 1933, in Willcox, the daughter of Carroll Leander Crawford and Josephine Greenstreet Crawford. Gladys was a wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered for her sparkling blue eyes. Gladys helped start the Little League baseball program in Elfrida and never stopped giving to children and young adults. She helped coach high school volleyball at Valley Union High School. She never missed an event involving children. Gladys is survived by her husband Austin William (Bill) Hill; sons Dr. John L. Hill, Tucson, and Mike W. (Debra) Hill, Eagar; granddaughter Linda K. Hill; great-granddaughter Tori J. Hill; and nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Alice Logan, Leola Green, Idelle Lewis and Cayral Annice Minter. Services were held March 26 at Burnham Mortuary of Eagar.
