MCKEE, Joseph E.


West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, March 29, 2013 Joseph E. McKee, 84, of Farmington N.M., and formerly of Buckeye died March 16, 2013, in Farmington. Mr. McKee was born May 13, 1928, in Knightstown, Ind., to Ora Joseph and Charity Bell Butler McKee. He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and served in Tulle, France, as head cook of the Mess Hall. He worked 18 years for International Harvester, O.S. Stapley's and El Paso Natural Gas Co. in 1978. He retired from El Paso Natural Gas in 1986 and worked for Childhaven for five years. He retired in 1991. He was preceded in death by one grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Novella McKee; three daughters, Gloria Skaggs, Cindey Martinelli and Cherrie Shaw; one sister, Irene McKee Dubrul; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
