West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, March 29, 2013 Deborah Lee Pharr, 61, of Sacred Heart, Minn., and formerly of Buckeye died March 26, 2013, at Parkview Home from breast cancer. Mrs. Pharr was born March 13, 1952, in Fort Campbell, Ky., to Marvin and Florence Schmidt. She was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church in Echo, Minn., and confirmed in Monticello, Minn. She attended school in Clearwater, St. Cloud, Belview and Springfield, Minn. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1970, and attended Union Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1971. She worked in various hospitals before moving to Tucson in 1973. She married Roy Pharr on Jan. 20, 1973, in Buckeye. In 1976, she moved back to Minnesota and started working at Parkview Nursing Home. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she served as secretary, a Belview ambulance member and civil defense director. In 1997, she moved back to Buckeye where she worked at Estrella Care and Rehab until 2005 when she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She was one month shy of being in remission before being diagnosed with thyroid cancer, then a few months later with breast cancer. She moved back to Sacred Heart in 2012. She is survived by her husband, Roy Pharr of Sacred Heart; one son, Jeremy Pharr of Sacred Heart; one daughter, Tammy Pharr of Waddell; two grandchildren; her mother, Florence Anderson of Belview; two brothers, Harley and Chuck Schmidt of Belview; and two sisters, Kathy Kirk of Sacred Heart and Jacky Schmidt of Belview. Memorial services were Thursday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sacred Heart. Interment will be at a later date. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.
