She graduated from Longwood College and taught school for many years. Brothers was preceded in death by Lyman Brothers Jr. She is survived by Dr. Lyman [Jane] Brothers III, of Sedona; Ames [David] Tillar; Margaret Slate, of Emporia, Va.; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A memorial will be held at Kachina Point on Saturday, March 30, at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
