HERBERT, Norma Lee

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Mrs. Norma Lee Herbert, 72, of 5801 S. 39th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ, passed away December 6, 2010 at Glencroft Care Center. Born December 5, 1938 in Miami, AZ, she was the daughter of the late Golden Earl, Sr. and Esther Anna Riggs. Norma was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her husband Thomas Willard Herbert; children: Gary Melton, Kathy Sterrett, Victor Herbert, and Clayton Herbert; siblings: Paul Plumb, Eliza Uptain, Earl Golden Riggs, Jr., and her twin Norman Riggs. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Herbert was preceded in death by her son, Mark Melton. A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 9th, at 12:30 PM at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa, with a funeral service to follow at 1:30 PM. Burial will take place at Ashurst Cemetery, Fort Thomas, AZ Friday, December 10th at 1:30 PM. Meldrum Mortuary handled the arrangements.
