The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, April 04, 2013 Herbert W. Schumm 1929 - 2013 Herbert W. Schumm, 84, of Cottonwood, passed away on April 3, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Dolores; three children, Millie Hollandbeck, Mary Schumm, and Diana Mart; two grandchildren, Patrick John Quinn and Nicole Quinn; and two great grandchildren Laylah and Chelsey Matlock. Herbert was a loving and devoted husband and proud father. Although deaf from birth, he refused to allow his disability to prevent him from providing for his family and achieving his desires in life. His greatest joy and desire was to simply be with his loving, devoted wife. May the gates of heaven open wide and receive Herbert into the loving arms of the Lord. Information provided by survivors.
