Helen E. Maze, 93, died March 23, 2013, at Prescott Samaritan Village.
She was born April 7, 1919, in Detroit, Mich.
Helen was the beloved widow of Jack. One cannot think of either Helen or Jack without thinking of the other. Theirs was a marriage made in heaven.
Helen's mother died when she was only 18 months old, leaving Helen to be raised by her grandparents and father until Helen was 6 years old.
Her father married Cecilia Bond and Helen, then, had a wonderful mother too.
When they built their retirement home in the mountains above Prescott, Jack made sure that every room had a big picture window, as Helen was claustrophobic. She was a great hostess and their many friends remember the wonderful parties at the Maze home.
Helen is survived by her longtime friend and caregiver Connie Wreath; daughter Helen Bennett; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
Celebration of Life service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez, Prescott, Ariz.
