KUBERSKI, Marshall Joseph


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, April 10, 2013 Marshall Joseph Kuberski, 86, of Aguila and formerly of Rock Island, died peacefully in his sleep Tuesday April 2 at My Father’s Retirement Ranch in Wickenburg after a short illness. He was born Oct. 2, 1926, son of Marion and Alexandria Kuberski in Cordova, Ill. He graduated from Cordova High School, where he played basketball. He served in the United States Army and was in the Marine reserves. He married Betty Fout on July 17, 1954. She died in 1986. Marshall was a carpenter by trade and a member of the carpenters union for many years -- working in Illinois, Iowa, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. He was also a member of the American Legion. Marshall loved the West and was a long-time resident of the Wickenburg/Aguila area. He enjoyed taking care of his horses -- including Brittany, Stephenie Pearl, and first-place winner, Dunfeetski. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wickenburg. He was very independent and active working on his land until very recently and was well thought of by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family who love him. He is survived by his daughter GayAnn (Roger) Wright; stepson Tom Anderson; grandchildren Stephanie, Bryan, and Megan; sisters Antoinette and Irene; brother Paul (Irene); sister-in-law Anna; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Betty; and brothers Julius, Walter, Felix, and Thomas. A memorial service to be announced will be held in the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
