The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Tuesday, April 09, 2013 George Kohl, 66, of Prescott Valley, Ariz. departed this life Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the Northern Arizona VA Hospice, in Prescott. He was born Jan. 2, 1947 in Phoenix, Ariz. to George and Lillian Kohl. George was a beloved husband and father. He was an avid amateur astronomer since the age of 11. He was an active member of the Phoenix Saguaro Astronomy Club for many years. George received a Bachelor of Science degree from ASU. He retired as a Registered Sanitarian with the U.S. Department of Public Health and the Maricopa County Department of Health Services. George is survived by his wife Deborah; and daughter Kimberly Kohl. There will be a committal service with military honors at 10 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at the Prescott National Cemetery, Prescott, Ariz.
