West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, April 12, 2013 Kenneth Richard Going, 73, of Goodyear died April 8, 2013. Mr. Going was born May 26, 1939, in Mineola, N.Y., to John and Margaret Going. He was the second president of the PebbleCreek Republican Club and the Precinct Committee man since 2002. He was the 2009 recipient of the Reagan Award by the Maricopa County Republicans. He was a member of the Suffolk County PC, and of the Republican Chairman's Club in Nassau County. He was also the first vice chair of Legislative District12. He was a member at large. He assisted in the campaigns of U.S. Sen. Jon Kyl, state Rep. Trent Franks, state Rep. Jerry Weiers, state Rep. Steve Montenegro, President Richard Nixon and New York Gov. George Pataki, and was the campaign manager for Goodyear Mayor Georgia Lord. He served in the Navy from 1957 to 1961 as an aircrew man. He was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie Going. He is survived by his partner, Patricia Hallacy; one daughter, Kimberley Cerruti; three sons, Kenneth Jr., Kevin and Keith Going; and nine grandchildren.
