Esther Hazel Stoeppelmann, age 94, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 peacefully in her sleep in Mesa, Ariz.
Esther was born in Webster Groves, Mo. on September 27, 1918. She was a descendant of the pilgrims, two signers of the Declaration of Independence, and pioneers of the west including a state legislator of 1850's California. Her mother was a Daughter of the American Revolution, her father was a 32nd degree Mason.
During her life, she was a loving wife and helpmate to her husband of 65 years, Kenneth D. Stoeppelmann, and loving mother to Robert and Janet. She was a firebrand of the Republic, who wrote countless letters and a guest column in a Scottsdale newspaper, reviling our treasonous government. In her 70's she developed an untutored talent for oil painting and was recognized by the Bullhead City Council, who hung her work in the council chambers.
She is survived by her husband, Ken; son, Robert (Sharon) Stoeppelmann of Bullhead City, Ariz.; daughter, Janet (Ken Ryan) Stoeppelmann of Scottsdale, Ariz.; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and grandson, Weylin Stoeppelmann, having the privilege of spending the last nine years close to her.
Letters of condolences may be sent to: Kenneth Stoeppelmann, 262 E. Brown Rd., Ste 158, Mesa, AZ 85201.
