Vergene Dawn Brown, 82, passed away April 5, 2013. She was born Nov. 5, 1930, in Glidden, Iowa, to Owen and Alice (Gardner) Gearhart. 

Vergene is survived by her husband Deane Brown; children Bonnie (Larry) Oleksa and Jeff (Rosanne) Brown; grandchildren Aaron Brown, Faith Brown, Allison Oleksa and Jeremy (Becky) Oleksa; great grandchildren Vincent Abeyta and Elayna Brown; brothers Lamoine Gearhart and Dwylan Gearhart. 

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Road, Peoria, Ariz. 

Funeral service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Vergene's name may be given to the United Christian Youth Camp, 1400 Paradise Valley Road, Prescott, AZ 86303.
