The White Mountain Independent,
Show Low, Arizona ~ 04/16/2013
Ruth Ann Tanner, 83, died April 1, 2013, at Phoenix Banner Desert Sam with an unexpected bout of pneumonia. She was born Oct. 27, 1929, in Pampa, Texas.
Her maiden name was “Allred,” which may ring a bell with some folks. Ruth Ann worked at a local department store in Show Low for 11 years.
She is survived by her family: two sons, Dana Kuntz of Lakeside and Frank Kuntz, D.D.S., of Mesa, and grandchildren Chad Kuntz and Kelly Kuntz.
She was preceded in death by her first son, Dennis, in Korea in 1966.
Her second family were her coworkers. She cared about them dearly, always talked about their welfare and health concerns. She will be missed by her care for others and customer service at work. She always had an entrepreneurial spirit and kept a positive attitude about life.
Her motto was “Don’t forget your 12 hugs a day.”
