The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, April 17, 2013 Linda Lea Duddles, 72, of Reed City, Mich., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Sunday, April 7, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Nov. 20, 1940 in Detroit to Charles and Emma Springer and was a 1959 graduate and Salutatorian of Wilbur Wright High School. On Oct. 24, 1959, she was married in Detroit to Dick Duddles, who survives. Linda was the manager of Duddles Tree Farms all of her married life and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Reed City. She loved her family, traveling, and animals; especially her dogs and horses. Together with her husband, she visited all 50 states and four countries and enjoyed spending time together with Dick in their winter home in Arizona the past several years. She was loved very much and will be deeply missed. She is survived by husband Dick of Reed City; children Dick II (Jennifer) of Hersey and Tony (Alycia) of Reed City; daughter-in-law Becky Duddles of Big Rapids; step-children Vernon Duddles of Tipton, Dixie (Lou) Adams and Debbie Kellogg -- both of Farwell; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister Diane Sawiki of Dearborn Heights; brothers Charles Springer of Warren and Bob (Cathy) Springer of Cleveland, Ohio; brother-in-law Bill Duddles of Reed City; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two of her children, Brian in April of 1999 and Diane in December of 2006, and her sister Elanor. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 10 at the First Baptist Church in Reed City, with Rev. Ron Lucas officiating. Burial will be at Ashton Cemetery in Ashton. A funeral luncheon will be held at the First Baptist Church following interment. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made in her name to the Helen Devos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. Visitation with the family was held 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 9 at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City.
