Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, April 17, 2013 - Janet Rose Medeiros passed away April 13, 2013 in Lake Havasu City. Janet was born Dec. 18, 1933, in Coventry, R.I. She moved to Redondo Beach, Calif., after she married. She also owned and operated her own beauty shop for seven years and worked as a food handler for Continental Airlines at Los Angeles Airport. When her husband retired in 1988, they moved to Lake Havasu City. Janet was the Historian for the Lake Havasu Art Guild for 20 of her 23 years of membership. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and boating with her husband, Manny. She also enjoyed traveling with family. Janet is survived by her sisters, Gloria Curodeau of Magnolia, Texas, Rita Parenteau of Los Angeles, Calif., and Cecile Parenteau of Lake Havasu City. She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel J. Medeiros, and her brothers, Robert and Lionel Giguere. A Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Friday, April 19, at 11 a.m. with a Rosary starting at 10:30 a.m. A lunch will follow in the Family Community Center.
