Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Kenneth James Hartnell (September 17, 1931 - April 10, 2013) Kenneth James Hartnell, passed peacefully into eternal life on April 10, 2013 in Lake Havasu City, AZ, surrounded by his loving family. He was Born in Santa Maria, CA on September 17, 1931 to George William Hartnell and Mary Magdalene Storm. He was raised in Salinas, CA, and served in Korea with the United States Navy. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Shirley Jean; his sisters, Dolores Seydel and Eileen Morrison; his children, Catharine (Tim) Branson, Benjamin (Laura), William, Janet (Tim) Haffey , Rebecca (Kevin) Branson, Paul (Kami), Mary Lindstedt , John (Stefanie), 30 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George and Jimmy; his sisters, Marie, Jean, Pat, and Joanne; his son Michael and his grandsons Kenny and Darin. His Rosary will be held at 7pm on Friday, April 19th at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Chapel, in Flagstaff, AZ. His Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Saturday, April 20th at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Chapel. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life.
