ARMSTEAD, Daniel Joe (Danny)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, April 18, 2013 Daniel Joe "Danny" Armstead was born in Phoenix, Ariz., on July 10, 1949, at St. Joseph's Hospital to Leland T. Armstead (1919-1990) and Beatrice L. Armstead (1914-1996). He left our lives on April 14, 2013 peacefully in his sleep at New Horizons Care Facility in Prescott Valley. Danny worked for the Veterans Administration at Fort Whipple in Prescott from 1968 after graduating from Prescott High School and retired from there in 2000. He grew up spending summer vacations in his beloved state of Oklahoma. Danny is survived by his two sisters, Nancy Wells of Paulden, Ariz., and Jana Mantifel of Nederland, Colo.; and three nephews, Will Wells, Austin Wells and Casey Wells. He leaves behind his cousins in California and Oklahoma, as well as many friends. Family services will be private. Donations may be made to the Hospice Family Care Inc., 100 E. Sheldon St., Prescott, AZ 86301. Cremation was by David's Desert Chapel in Wickenburg. Information provided by survivors.
