Obituary #2:
Aston, Cecile Viola Ethington, 90, passed away May 18, 2003 in her home in Mesa.
She was born May 9, 1913 in Shelbyville, Kentucky to George Floyd Ethington and Myrtie Lee Markwell. The family moved to Arizona when Cecile was a teenager. She spent most of her life in Phoenix, and
moved to Mesa later.
She is preceded in death by her husband Russell Henry Aston, who passed away in 1952 and her son, Thomas Grant, who passed away in 1943. She is survvived by her six children Sharon Park
(Jess) of Mesa, Jim (Teddi) of Higley, Carole Montierth (Lyle) of Mesa, Marsha Incardone (Joe) of Higley, Sam (Susan) of Mesa, and Russelyn Crandall of Higley. She is also survived by her sisters, Virginia Johnson of Phoenix and Margaret Walston of Mesa and her brothers, Ira Fulton of Phoenix, Everett Ethington of Mesa and Heber Ethington of California. She was so proud of her 30 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren of which 16 served missions for the LDS church because of her influence. Her happiness and joy came from the love she has for our Father in Heaven, Jesus Christ and her family. Her life was dedicated to teaching, serving and loving them.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. She loved attending the temple, especially the weddings of her children and grandchildren.
She was a wonderful example to all who knew her. She was a loving and kind mother who endured many things as a widow for 52 years, but came out on top as a choice and beloved woman and Mother. Indeed, she was the heart of our family. We love and miss her very much.
