Obituary #1: Eva Miller Ashcroft, 77 of Mesa, AZ, will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2006 with a viewing from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mesa South Stake Center, 1415 East Southern Avenue in Mesa. A viewing will also be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 East Main St. in Mesa. She died July 8, 2006 in Mesa, AZ. Mrs. Ashcroft, a loving wife and mother, was born in Tucson, AZ on October 20, 1928 to Thomas E. and Nellie Lee Miller. Survivors include her husband, Ronald E. Ashcroft; daughters, Debbie, Lisa (Brad Wallace); sons, Ron (Bev), Ted (Yoko), Craig (Kelley), Tom (Jill), Curt (Katherine); 26 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Genevra (Dale) Vance. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Harold Miller. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life in service to her family and fellow man. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities including a full-time mission in the Northern States, ward Relief Society President several times, Stake Relief Society President, and Temple worker.
