PENNELL, Thomas Anthony


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 04/23/2013 Thomas Anthony Pennell, 70, died April 8, 2013, in Show Low. He was born Sept. 20, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio. Thomas worked at Countryman’s Computer Worx for the past nine years. He created the Desert Center Triumph Car Club in Phoenix, served as president of the High Country Barbershop Chorus and was the pilot of the Flying Samaritans for five years. He taught for three years with IBM and also APS Phoenix IT, owned a race car, was a driver for ASRA and served with ROTC for eight years. He is survived by his wife Grace Ann Newton Pennell; daughter Gyna Ann Pennell; son Thomas William Pennell; sister Carolyn Kennison of Essex Junction, Vt., and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Dana Larry Pennell, mother Margaret Carolyn Pennell and brother John Michael Pennell. Black’s Show Low Mortuary handled arrangements.
