Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from April 17 to April 24, 2013 - John Terry Phillips, age 55, a 25-year resident of the Tri-State area, died Monday, April 1, 2013 in Mohave Valley, Ariz. John was born in Youngstown, Ohio on April 6, 1957. As a young man he served in the U.S. Navy from 1974-1976. He made his living as an automotive painter with Yoney's Auto Body for over 15 years. In addition, he was an avid golfer and loved fishing. John was a loving father, grandfather and a good friend. John is preceded in death by his fathers, Minor Clay Phillips, and Frank Yurkouich. He is survived by his sons, Derek (Jaci), and Casey; daughter Gia; grandchildren Seth, Beka and Tessa Phillips, Cade, Cyler and Camrynn Phillips, and Jeremy and Savannah Shafer; mother, June Phillips; brothers, Frank, Kevin and Kasey Phillips; sisters, Suzanne Eggli, and Kimberly Phillips; and many nieces and nephews. All his friends and family are asked to come remember the good times at a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the home of Casey Phillips, 12819 Concho Drive, Topock, Ariz.
