Myrlene Mell 8/9/35 - 5/22/07 On May 22, 2007 Heaven gained a "true" angel; a courageous woman with warm hands and yet a warmer heart. On this day Heaven gained a teacher of unconditional love, belief in others, all while being the epitome of a Mom, Grandmother and Friend. Mom, Grandma Birdie, Sister, Auntie 'M' was a brave woman who survived cancer by defying it for more than 20 years. Let it be known cancer did not win-SHE conceded. In the twilight of her departure our family shared priceless moments leaving nothing unsaid, nothing undone and absolutely NO regrets! Myrlene's family knows that with all the lives she has touched rest assured she is illness free and in a wonderful place. We know that to be true for when the Angels embraced her there was a reassuring sense of PEACE felt by all. She is survived by her children: son, Terry Mell; daughters, Lori Mirolla (Michael Pappas), Michele Stauss (Robert); grandchildren, Stefani Stanage, Nico Mirolla, Lynzee Stauss, and Lauren Stauss; great-grandchildren, Haylee Stanage and Ryann Stanage; sisters, Anita Martinovich, Elinor Mangrum, Eileen Vaughan and their families; countless friends including very special 'Friend & Angel' Charlotte Artunian; the professionally remarkable Dr. Marvin Chassin and Staff; and Banner Desert Nurse Lisa Bigley. There will be no funeral service, but we will have a Memorial to "Celebrate Her Life": June 23, 2007, Superstition Springs Golf Resort, Baseline & Power Rd. in Mesa. Family suggests to please make a donation in Myrlene Mell's name to the non-profit organization: Hospice of the Valley, East Mesa Inpatient Unit. Myrlene's family would like to thank everyone for their loving support and endless prayers.
