Elizabeth L. Flaggs, 37, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 25, 2007 in Chandler, Arizona.
Elizabeth was born in Cleveland, Ohio, September 18, 1969, to Sally E. Lorenz and Andrew K. Lorenz.
She moved with her family to San Jose, California, in 1974. She graduated from Leland High School, received a BSW degree from San Jose State University, and a Master of Arts in Psychology and Counseling from the University of San Francisco. She was employed as Director of Social Services at Bruceville Terrace Convalescent Hospital in Sacramento, CA and at other hospitals and Medical facilities in the Sacramento-Stockton and greater San Francisco Bay areas.
In 1990 Elizabeth married Earl D. Flaggs. They lived in Phoenix, and in Tuba City, Arizona, where she was Director of Special Education of the Tuba City School District for the Navajo Nation, and her husband, Earl, was head basketball coach at Tuba City High School.
She is survived by her son, Malcolm L. Flaggs (4), Chandler, AZ; former husband, Earl D. Flaggs, Chandler; a sister, Patricia Kawamoto, Lake Oswego, OR; and a brother, Andrew H. Lorenz of Morgan Hill, CA. She is also survived by two nieces, Kenyon Kawamoto (11), Lake Oswego, OR; Elika Lorenz (4) Morgan Hill, CA, and by her parents, Sally and Andrew Lorenz, La Quinta, CA.
Services were held Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Hts. Rd. (between Arizona Ave. and Alma School Rd.)
