Lucy Ann Collier Tumey was born Jan 10, 1932 in Martinsville, IN to Harley Collier and Dorothy Baughn.
She died Sunday, June 3, 2007 in Gilbert, AZ.
She grew up and attended schools in Martinsville, IN. Lucy married Festal I. Tumey June 10, 1950. They moved to Chandler, AZ in December 1972.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Justine Estone. She is survived by her brother, Donald Collier and 5 children - Lynn (Warren) Lewis, Rebecca Reber, Richard (Ladayna) Tumey, Stephen Tumey and Lisa (Dobbin) Carter; 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Lucy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints joining at age 23 in IN. She served in many positions and loved the Primary children's organization. She was a friend to all who knew her and always found good qualities in every person. She loved to do genealogy, sew, play the piano, bake goodies, write poems, watch the Phoenix Suns and enjoyed her family and friends. We all love and miss you "Grammy!"
Visitation was on Friday, June 8, 2007 at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Dr., Chandler, AZ. Funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9 at the Gilbert 4th Ward, 1150 N. Lindsay Rd., Gilbert, AZ. Arrangements by Bueler Mortuary.
