KOTZMANN,
Agnes Marie
(Maiden Name: Voyticky)
Agnes Marie Kotzmann (Voyticky), passed away peacefully in her home on June 4, 2007.
She has joined both her husband, Charles K. Kotzmann and her daughter Cheryl A. Kiesler, who preceded her in death.
Born May 10, 1921 in Munson, Pennsylvania, Agnes and her husband moved to Arizona in 1961.
She is survived by her four children, Charlotte M. Krause, Charleen A. Kirsch, Warren C. Kotzmann and Cheron M. Shepard, her 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
As a child, Agnes spent much of her young life in a Fresh Air Home for handicapped children in Pennsylvania. However, despite physical and other hardships, Agnes achieved a great deal in her lifetime.
At the age of 41, she began a career in the high tech industry in 1962. Her tireless work ethic and intelligence allowed her to rise to management level positions responsible for the production processes of semi conductor fabrication at various companies in the Valley. The demands for her skill, experience and dedication took her to increasing levels of responsibility, and she earned the respect, admiration and devotion of her many subordinates, peers and superiors.
In recent years she looked forward to spending time with her children and grand children, and to frequent visits with her siblings in Ohio and Pennsylvania. She was full of spirit and, among all else, she loved to laugh and tell stories with her sisters. At various times she was a babysitter, housekeeper and nursemaid to all of us. She loved to camp and dance to polkas. Throughout her life she has given each of us her unconditional support and love. In addition to being a very loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was also our best friend. We all love her dearly and will miss her touch, wit and wisdom. Her love and nurture will be with us forever as her enduring gifts.
The family asks that donations be made in her name to Hospice of the Valley, whose dedicated staff comforted her and her family during her final days on earth.
A rosary service was held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa Thursday, June 7, 2007. Services were held at the same location Friday, June 8, 2007.
