Arizona Daily Journal-Miner, Prescott, Arizona Friday, June 12, 1903 P. Mohn & Co. Received word early this morning from Mayer that G. W. Hill, a rancher near that place, had died about five o'clock and were asked to send a casket out on the 8:30 train. The casket was sent in the body will be brought to Prescott is evening at 5:30 in the funeral will take place tomorrow morning. The deceased was about 60 years of age and have been suffering for a long time with kidney trouble. ----------------------------------- Arizona Daily Journal-Miner, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, June 13, 1903 The funeral of G. W. Hill, whose death was announced in the Journal-Miner last evening, took place from the undertaking parlors of P. Mohn & Co. at 10 o’clock this morning, the services being conducted by Rev. Taft of the Baptist church. Mr. Hill was one of the old time residents of the lower Agua Fria valley and had many friends in that part of the county. ----------------------------------- Newspaper Unknown June 1903 He came to the territory in 1875 and for nearly 30 years have been a resident of this section. He died after an illness of several weeks of suffering, all of which he bore very patiently. His mortal remains were followed from his late home at Mayer by a large concourse of relatives and friends to their last resting place in the cemetery at Prescott.
