CONTRYMAN, Sarah Helene

Sarah Helene Contryman, 89, of Phoenix, Arizona, and formerly of Sun City, Arizona passed away Friday, April 23, 2004. 

She was born in Corry, Pennsylvania and resided in Arizona since 1977. 

Sarah worked as a registered nurse with the American Red Cross until retirement. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bell Ringers and Pedal Pushers of Sun City as well as a Meals on Wheels volunteer and Hospice of the Valley volunteer. 

Sarah is survived by her sons: Richard (Ginny) Contryman of Phoenix, Arizona and Robert (Mary) Contryman of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren: Kim Contryman, Tina Benford, Karla Frick, Richard Contryman and Emily Contryman; great grandchildren: Johanna Contryman and Lucas Benford and two more on the way. 

A Memorial Service was held Saturday, May 1, 2004 at First Presbyterian Church, 12225 N. 103rd Avenue in Sun City, Arizona. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street in Phoenix, Arizona 85014. Arrangements handled by Menke Funeral Home, 623-979-6451.
