VOELKER, Bette D.

Bette D. Voelker, 81, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on April 22, 2004. She was born in Hibbing, Minnesota on November 28, 1922. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edmund E. Voelker. The couple was married in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1955 where they made their home and raised 4 children. Surviving children include; Gayle M. Voelker of Atlanta, GA; Daniel J. Voelker of Tampa, FL; and Jan A. Treinen of Scottsdale, AZ. Grandchildren include; J.R. and David Voelker; and Lauren, Lindsey, Alexandra, and Grant Treinen. Bette worked for many years in the Paradise Valley School District. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, friends and special pets, "Gus" and "Billy Boy". Mass of the Resurrection was held Thursday, April 29, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11001 N. 40th St., Phoenix, with a graveside service at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church at the above address. Arrangements entrusted to Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary.
