Jackie Evelyn Roberson, 81, of Phoenix, AZ passed away Monday, June 25, 2007. She was born Jackie Evelyn Henry on a ranch near San Angelo, TX on March 18, 1926. Jackie is survived by her husband, JB Roberson; her daughter, Sherri (Don) Nagai; her grandson, Tres (Ve'Ka) Taylor; granddaughter, Jordan Blair Taylor; great-grandson, Kam'Ron Taylor; and sisters: Pauline Jones and Johnnie Nell Davis, both of Texas. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dena Kyle Roberson and her sisters: Jerry Kleffner and Helen Whiting. Jackie and JB moved to Phoenix in 1962 with 3 foster children: Yvonne Roberson, Brad Roberson, and Mark Roberson. She immediately began her charitable works with the Mental Health Guild, the Association of Women for Pepperdine University, and more recently Mexican Mission work through her church, as well as other charitable endeavors. Jackie had been a member of Camelback Church of Christ in Phoenix since 1962. Prior to that, she was a member of Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock, TX. Visitation was held at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd. in Scottsdale on June 29. (480-945-9521). The funeral was held at Camelback Church of Christ at 5225 E. Camelback Rd., Phoenix on Saturday, June 30, followed by entombment at Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale (480-860-2300).
