MOREY, Everett Dunbar


Everett Dunbar Morey died on June 27, 2007. He was born May 1, 1923 in Sharon, CT. His parents, Edward and Alice, taught him to love family, learning, hard work and God's creations. During WWII he served his country by flying over 48 missions in the European Theater. Upon his return Ev received an engineering degree from MIT and then worked for General Electric primarily in Louisville, KY. Everett married his sweetheart, Moselle Evans, on Feb. 8, 1952 and they lived a full life together. She preceded him in death in Dec. 2002. He married her sister Genevieve, in Oct. 2004 enjoying a loving, though brief companionship. As an active member of the LDS Church, he served in many positions including Bishop, Patriarch and Temple Sealer. He loved his Heavenly Father and His Savior, Jesus Christ. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by daughter Jorgene; 4 grandsons; and a sister Jean. He is survived by Genevieve; his children Denise (Greg) Geiger of Farmington Hills, MI; Lorene (Dan) Armstrong of Taylorsville, UT; Neil (Debra of Augusta, GA; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister Florence. We love him, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Services Saturday, June 30, 2007 at LDS Solomon Ward, 977 E. Broadway Rd., Mesa, AZ with visitation one hour prior to services. Published in the East Valley Tribune on 6/29/2007.
