Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Samuel Jeffery Hi Eagle (February 13, 1972 - April 22, 2013) Jeff Hi Eagle, 41, of Whiteriver, Arizona died April 22, 2013 at his home in Whiteriver. He was born in Manitoba, Canada on February 13, 1972. He is the only son of Phillip Hi Eagle and Rose Marie McKay. He was educated at the Clearfield Job Corp in Clearfield, Utah where he studied to be a Security Officer. He later studied at Utah Community College where he focused on Criminal Justice. In 2001, he married his companion of six years, LaMonica (Gordon) Hi Eagle. They have four children: Ryan, Duran, Sisilly, and Carmelo. Jeff served and protected the people of the White Mountain Apache Tribe for 15 years; during this time, he was employed by both the White Mountain Apache Housing Authority as a Security Guard and the Whiteriver Police Department as Police Officer, Detention Officer, Dispatcher, and a Transport Officer. He was also previously employed as a Slot Tech at Hondah Casino. He leaves behind his beloved wife, LaMonica; his sons, Ryan, Duran, and Carmello; and a daughter, Sisilly. He also leaves his father, Phillip Hi Eagle of Manitoba, Canada; his mother, Rose Marie McKay also of Manitoba, Canada; and two sisters, Terri Hi Eagle and Sherri Blacksmith of Manitoba, Canada. He is also survived by his Mother-in-law, Veronica Kaytoggy Stevens; his sister-in-laws, Clementine Thomas, Diane Kaytoggy, Carma Lavender, Mitzi Classay, Cindy Kaytoggy, Abigail Thompson, Carla Hopkins, Delta Kindelay, and Kayleen Hill; his brother-in-laws, Aaron Bruce Kaytoggy, Trevino Stevens, Vincent Stevens Jr., Andre Stevens, Dino Stevens Sr., and Jim Boot Thompson. He also leaves several cousins, nieces, and nephews. His body will be brought back to his residence at 7105 N. Cradleboard Ave. on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 4:00 PM. A funeral home service will be held at his residence in Cradleboard on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Co-Pastor Mike Lupe presiding.
