DAVIS, Thomas R.


Tom was born in Buncombe, Illinois in 1918, and he passed away Monday, April 12, 2004 after a lengthy illness. He grew up in Anna, Illinois and graduated from Anna-Jonesboro Community High School in 1936. Tom is survived by his wife Norma; two sons: Thomas Davis of Idaho and Darrell Davis of Indiana; one grandson, Jeffrey Davis of Colorado; two granddaughters: Diane Luce of Indiana and Amanda Davis of Indiana; six great grandchildren and seven step children. He was a member of First Christian Church of Sun City, Arizona. Tom was an engineer on the EJ&E Railroad in Gary, Indiana. He was a World War II veteran where he served in the Army 82nd Airborne Division. Tom became a Master Mason in the Crown Point, Indiana Lake Lodge in 1953. He also completed television training and received his diploma from the DeVry Technical Institute in 1958. After moving to Arizona, Tom volunteered at Boswell Memorial Hospital for seven years. His greatest accomplishment was being a loving, caring Husband and Father. Published in the Daily News-Sun on 4/30/2004.
