Pauline Jeannette Duckels, 82, of Phoenix, Arizona, died at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, April 21, 2004 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born February 19, 1922 in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Paul and Lillian Rothacher. She married Charles Robert Duckels on November 16, 1945. He preceded her in death. Pauline was a homemaker and a member of First Congregational Church in Alton, Illinois. She was also a member of both Lockhaven Country Club in Alton and Union Hills Country Club in Sun City, Arizona, active in Women's Golf. Pauline is survived by a loving family which includes her sister, Emilie Lou Logan of Brighton, Illinois; daughter Jane Fowler of Phoenix, Arizona; two sons and daughters-in-law: Jim and Becky Duckels of Frisco, Texas and Mike and Susie Duckels of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren: Kelly Allard, Jim Duckels, Christopher Duckels, Casey Fowler and Dyan Fowler; and two great grandchildren: Sydney and Zoe Allard. Graveside services will be held at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton, Illinois. Arrangements handled by Sunland Memorial Park, 623-933-0161. Published in the Daily News-Sun from 4/27/2004 - 4/28/2004.
