The Arizona Journal-Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Friday, July 27, 1877, page 3, column 1 Just as we go to press, we learn of the death of little Herbert Sanders, aged about 2 and a half years, which took place this afternoon at the residence of S. C. Miller. The little boy was taken with the typhoid fever a few days since and medical aid immediately procured but seemingly to no avail. We sympathize with the bereaved parents in the loss of their bright boy. The funeral will take place tomorrow at 2 O’clock in the afternoon from the residence of S. C. Miller, Esq. Relatives and friends of the family are cordially invited to attend. ------------------------------- Arizona Weekly Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Friday, July 27, 1877, page 5, column 4 Died - At the residence of S. C. Miller, July 26th 1877, of typhoid fever, Herbert M., son of Thomas and Cynthia Saunders (sic), Aged 2 years, and 6 months. Funeral will take place from the residence of Mr. Miller to-morrow at 2 o'clock. Friends are cordially invited to attend. Transcriber's note: This child is buried at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona along with several family members.
